The Most Important Six To Do’s in Your Day
It’s been proven that the average business person can effectively complete/accomplish up to six tasks per day. The key word is ‘effectively’.
Here’s six steps to create your list of the six Most Important items to be accomplished each day
Step One – Determine Your Immediate Goal
For example, is it increasing your product sales or expanding your sales territory? Producing a video or gathering testimonials? Write it down.
Step Two – The ‘To Do’ List
List every item/action that needs to be done.
Step Three – Delegation
Determine what can be delegated and write the name of the company or person beside those actions. Give them the list with instructions on what needs to be accomplished and when.
Step Four – To Do or Not To Do, That is the Question
Evaluate the remaining items according to your immediate goal. Do they bring you closer to where you want to be at the end of the day? If not, leave them on the list for another day.
Step Five – The Six Most Important Things You Need to Do Today
Determine the six (not seven or five) most important of the remaining items that need to be done BY YOU today. Be specific. For example cleaning your office is vague. Filing the accounts payable is specific. Meeting with clients is vague. Coffee with Mrs. Smith at Waves at 2pm is specific. Get the picture?
Write down the steps needed to accomplish these specific tasks. It will keep you on track.
Step Six – Wash, Rinse, Repeat
When you’ve arrived at your office the next day, review your list and then go do it! At the end of the day, before you leave your office or before you go to bed, repeat steps one through six.
Now go get connected!
