Book Review: Cathrine Ann’s “Beautiful Buttons” (CLOSED)

By Cathy Watters on Oct 07 2010 • Filed under Reviews

Beautiful Buttons: a memoir of survival and triumph by Cathrine Ann

Born on the wrong side of the tracks to alcoholic parents, Cathrine M. Ann experienced extreme poverty, neglect and sexual abuse throughout her childhood and early adult years. A mother at 15, Cathrine’s education in survival led her to take work where she could find it, from being a teen-aged drug dealer (her idea) and prostitute (her uncle’s idea) to getting hired and fired from several legitimate jobs due to undiagnosed ADD, and eventually working for (and then running from) the mob. Through it all, Cathrine never gives up on her dreams of making a better life.

Today Cathrine Ann is a successful entrepreneur, a sought-after public speaker, and a self-made millionaire.
